Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to explore Khem Villas and plan a stay, including people who use a screen reader, a screen magnifier, voice control, a keyboard instead of a mouse, or other assistive technology.
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the international standard for accessible websites, and we check new pages against it before they go live. This statement explains what we have done, what still needs work, and how to get help.
What we have done
Every photograph has a written description for screen readers. Purely decorative images are hidden from them.
Each page has one main heading and a clear heading structure, so you can move between sections.
Body text is at least 16 pixels and does not shrink on smaller screens.
Buttons and links have clear names, including the photo gallery controls (“Previous”, “Next”, “1 of 5”).
Photo galleries never move on their own. Photos change only when you choose.
The video at the top of the home page is silent and decorative. Everything it shows is also described in text.
The site adapts to phones, tablets and computers, and works with browser zoom.
Phone, WhatsApp, email and postal details are at the foot of every page.
Known limitations
Some small gold labels, such as the section numbers above headings, have slightly less colour contrast than WCAG AA asks for. We are darkening them.
Some text and photos fade in as you scroll down a page.
Parts of the site come from other providers, including the Cloudbeds booking engine, the enquiry form, WhatsApp and Google Maps. We cannot fully control how accessible they are.
Some press features linked from Field Notes are scanned PDFs that a screen reader may not be able to read.
If any of this stops you from finding what you need, contact us. We will send the information in another format, or take your booking by phone, WhatsApp or email.
Access at the property
Khem Villas sits on 45 acres of natural land, and the rooms are spread out across the grounds. If you or anyone travelling with you has mobility, sensory or other access needs, please tell us before you travel. We will advise which rooms and arrangements will suit you best, and what our team can arrange on arrival.
